The season-long mystery of who Coulson lookalike Sarge & Crew are deepened in this episode, with the added uncertainty of He Said/She Said.
S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Mack forces Sarge to reveal more about his team’s mission, which is frighteningly apocalyptic, and revenge-based. Meanwhile, new character Izel is heading back to Earth, accompanied by Fitz & Simmons, telling them that she is searching for artifacts that viewers of S.H.I.E.L.D. should be very familiar with. She claims her mission is also revenge-based, and the subject of her hate definitely sounds like Sarge. It seems they have a very complicated history. Both Sarge and Izel tell their allies the other should be destroyed. Who to believe? And how much are they still not revealing?
The viewer is being kept in the dark just as much as the characters on the show, so the tension is building to an exciting conclusion. There is now a race against the clock as Izel and Sarge are about to collide, as the episode title suggests, with the fate of the Earth at stake. You can’t afford to miss a single episode of the final season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Fridays on ABC.
• Movie-quality outer space scenes and spaceship CGI
• Desperate for love Deke and his poor choices
• A crystal structure that looks like a dark Fortress of Solitude (a dig at DC?)
