Welcome back to another exciting week in comic books. There should be some big questions answered this week, along with some new and exciting series coming from publishers. If you are a Spider-Man fan you are in luck this week. Marvel Comics will be releasing their True Believers Amazing Spider-Man #1 reprint, True Believers Marvel Team up #141, and True Believers Web of Spider-Man #100.
DC’s DCeased from Tom Taylor and Trevor Hairsine continues this week. Tom King’s run on Batman is getting closer to ending with the release of Batman #72. Midtown is sold out of Harley Quinn #62 , where Harley is put on trial and must prove her sanity or die. DC’s "Year of the Villain" continues this week in Justice League #25. This issue will wrap up the “Sixth Dimension” story arc in an oversized issue. Jinny Hex's origin continues in Young Justice #6.
Image Comics has a big cliffhanger to answer this week in The Walking Dead #192. On the last page of #191 they shot Rick in the chest. Is Rick dead now? Who is Carl fighting against for the Common Wealth? Sean Lewis and Hayden Sherman release their new series Thumbs. This is a new series that follows Charley "Thumbs" Fellows through his time in a social media army sent to overthrow the government.
Marvel Comics starts their new Black Cat series this week coming from writer Jed Mackay, and artists Travel Foreman and Michael Dowling. There are multiple variants out there, Artgerm virgin 1:200 ratio variant is stunning. Peter David and Dale Keown join up again to bring us Incredible Hulk Last Call. There is a possible first appearance this week in Hotshots #4
Devils Due Publishing is teaming up with Gus Fink and Laura Pendl to bring you a new all ages spookfest with Boogily Heads #1. Scout Comics is releasing their newest series Category Zero with Adem Kiamil and Tom Lima. Follow Lenard Higgs, a former college professor, as he triggers the start of a war between the government and the One Percenters. Humanoids Publishing is releasing their first ever ongoing super-powered series, Ignited. This new series powerful creative team is: writers Mark Waid (Kingdom Come) and Kwanza Osajyefo (Black AF), and artist Phil Briones (Aquaman), with covers by John Cassaday and Yanick Paquette.
